About Me

I live in Reading, England and have done for the last 14 years. Prior to that I grew up in Torquay, Devon which is by the seaside and then spent some time moving around the UK, including time in London, before settling in Reading. I live with my husband and my two very demanding cats. I love to paint abstract on canvas mostly using acrylics. I was lucky to have a very good art teacher in school who really inspired me to be very expressive when painting. To me, colour has such an important effect on mood. This is reflected in two ways in my work - sometimes the colours reflect the mood I was in when painting, other times it reflects the mood I am trying to conjure/capture/evoke with the colours I use.
